John N. Nanni has more than 20 years of experience at helping individuals and small businesses with their insurance and investment needs. John’s received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2014. His experience is complemented with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Finance from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. John holds the Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses.
Other licenses and certifications that John possesses are the Life & Health insurance license in nine states, Property & Casualty insurance license in Arizona, the Certified Fund Specialist™ designation that he earned through the Institute of Business and Finance more than two decades ago, and is a Notary Public.
John taught Personal Finance and Principles of Finance for five semesters as an adjunct instructor at Grand Canyon University. He enjoyed taking what he has learned in his experience in corporate finance, personal finance, and entrepreneurship and passing that on to the younger generation.
His entrepreneurial experience includes being a residential licensed general contractor in Arizona since the early 1990’s, co-founding a successful Internet company, and working as an executive search consultant for a number of years. Addition experience includes enlisting and later serving as a commissioned officer in the Arizona Army National Guard. John received his commission through the ROTC program at Northern Arizona University in 1988. He was honorably discharged after 9 years of service after attaining the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
John lived the first 13 years of his life in a small town near Buffalo, NY. His family moved to Arizona in August 1977 after the blizzard of ’77 in February of that year. He and his three younger siblings eventually enrolled at Scottsdale Christian Academy after growing up in the public school system for the first 14 years of his life and where he graduated from high school in 1984.
