While born in Oregon, Geoff Hoatson’s family relocated to Orlando when he was very young, and he considers himself a Floridian. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with honors in business administration and went on to earn a law degree from Emory University. In 2009, Geoff started his own law firm focusing on serving seniors and their families throughout the state of Florida. As the law firm grew, he became aware of gaps in servicing the needs of his clients. While he knew he was caring for their estate and legacy needs at the highest level, he continued to see their tax and financial matters go unattended or underattended to by the professionals around him. To fill this financial services gap, Geoff partnered with Mariner Wealth Advisors, becoming a financial advisor with the ability to provide both financial and insurance services to his clients. Through his partnership with Mariner, his firm, Growing Legacies, can also provide tax advice and preparation. Armed with these capabilities, Geoff knows that he is giving his clients his very best by becoming an expert in every field that focuses on creating financial stability.
When he pauses to catch his breath, you can find Geoff spending time with his wife and two beautiful daughters who can go from fishing to playing princesses in no time at all. He and his family love traveling, especially to the Pacific Northwest. And on the rare occasion that he takes time for himself, you’ll find him buried in a good book, trading timepieces in his collection, or playing the piano.
